Three days in Konstanz reviewing operational description documents and compiling a list of potential design problems. What fun! But, we had a nice trip down here on Monday, and I am looking forward to a few days off in a row this weekend.

I spent the morning taking a consultant someone else hired around the work site today. I am not sure what the purpose of hiring this guy was, but he seems alright. After I got back to the house we went into Windsor for a few minutes to drop off some items at the library and purchase a few essentials before the trip to Germany on Monday. Forgot to transfer money at the bank last week so now I won't have enough in the account to cover the rent when they auto-withdraw it on Friday. Getting paid in dollars while owing bills in pounds is one of the more disagreeable parts of working in the UK.

Not enough sleep last night - very tired today. But, a good day. Cranked through a few e-mails, etc. The postal strike ended today, so maybe we will start getting more mail again. Managed to reserve a channel crossing for next week and get tickets to USA for the following week. Now for a hotel in Germany...

Okay. That worked fairly well. It is Sunday, obviously, and I should be catching up on about 120 work e-mails I didn't have a chance to get to last week because I was stuck in meetings most of the week. On Wednesday I was in meetings from 9 AM to 11 PM. Ugh! So, life on this project: too much work to do, expectations of dedication are too high.
