The circulation pump for the heating system
went out on Wednesday. The heating had not been working well for several days, but we didn't know what the problem was until it quit working all together. So, we have a new pump, and the old one was left at the front door of the house by the plumber (see photo). Not sure why. While pulling out the old pump the hot water line broke. I was still at work, but I heard there was quite a bit of yelling about turning the water off. It was a good thing the landlord was here and knew that the main water cutoff is BEHIND the dishwasher. We may never have gotten the water turned off. As it is, there are doors open and fans on drying the carpets.
