Labor Day is right!
My in-laws visited us during August and helped
with many projects around the house. They helped tile the bathroom floor, refinish the deck, refinish some patio furniture, etc. Some of these jobs weren't quite done when it was time to go back to Texas, so we have been working on finishing them up. Plus, we have added other jobs. This picture is of the finished bathroom floor, which I actually completed last weekend.

The next large project that was mostly finished this
weekend was refinishing the deck. Cara and Philip sealed the back of the fence. They didn't get very good coverage so it needs another coat. But, the side of the deck we can see from house looks nice, as do our now burnt orange benches.

Of course, we mustn't forget the basement project
that was started approximately six years ago. I started on the second coat of mud on Saturday, and got a third coat on most of it today. I am not a very competent drywall finisher, so it may take more than three coats in several places. :-(

And, for some crazy reason, we started a new project today.
We are removing some of the mud from under our deck so that it can be replaced with some type of paving stones. Philip and a friend from church worked on it for about four hours and this is how much they accomplished. Still a bit to go. So, this has been more than an Labor Day, it has been a Labor Weekend.
