life on the wand

While Joyce and I were in New Jersey for a wedding John came home from college for the weekend and left this mess around my desk. It is really mostly my fault for giving him a challenge of getting Windows installed on a laptop that doesn't have a CD drive. I thought I could finish up the project so I left the mess all out. I've probably spent 6 or 8 hours on this task this weekend and am not much further along than I was when I started, other than slightly better educated and 48 hours older. But, still not enough education to get Windows onto the hard drive.
