What a difference this trip has been. When I arrived at Heathrow, I wasn't selected for a special security check, and there was no queue for the ticket agents! There was no problem with my ticket or my luggage, and no delays going through the security screening for my carry-on bag. I had a row of five seats all to myself on the flight to Chicago. I had a nice nap on the plane.
The flight from Chicago to Grand Rapids was delayed, but only by an hour. But, I didn't mind too much, because I ran into a co-worker and we went to the Chili's in the airport while we killed the time. When I got home, the driveway had been cleared of snow. Trips across the Atlantic don't get much better than that.
But, I did wake up at 3 AM, and ended up giving up on sleep soon afterward. So, now it is 2PM and I am ready for bed!
Spent all day collecting things to take back to England, both here at the house and at about 10 stores (let's see: Forest Hills Foods, Family Faire, Wal-Mart, Sams, Baker Books, CompUSA, Burger King (oh, that wasn't to take back)). Okay, six stores. Oh, and back to Wal-Mart to get the pictures. Ooph!
