Wood Floor Repair

One of the tasks I accomplished today was putting some wood down where the refrigerator goes. What happened to the wood that was there? It got used to repair some damaged wood in the entryway. I had to use 3" slats instead of 2.25" slats since they don't make the 2.25" anymore. Using a combination of the new 3" and 2 1/4" from under the dishwasher I was able to fill in the slot without needing to rip any boards. This was important because I had to cut all the wood with a hand saw. It actually came out looking a lot better than I expected. Another thing I did was replace a breaker with a GFI breaker. Why? Now, that is a long story. Very long story.

It's beautiful. Much better than the bare floor. :-)

Did you take a "before" picture?

No :-{ I never seem to remember the before picture until after the work is done.
